The GRAMMYs
There were quite a few women in country nominated at last night’s GRAMMY awards, but not as many who actually won. Mavis Staples was a two-time winner, getting trophies for Best American Roots Performance for “Beautiful Strangers,” and Best Americana Performance for “Godspeed.” I’m With Her won the GRAMMY for Best American Roots Song for “Ancient Light.”
